Kalasangam 2024 — A Celebration of Art, Culture & Spirit
The 18th edition of Kalasangam, Greenwood's beloved annual cultural festival, was a spectacular three-evening celebration of creativity, tradition, and the extraordinary talent of our students. From October 14–16, over 600 performers took the stage in events spanning classical dance, music, drama, fine arts, fusion, and comedy.
Evening Highlights
- Evening 1 – Classical Night: A breathtaking opening ceremony featuring a 45-minute Bharatanatyam production choreographed by students of Class XI and XII, performed to a full house. Carnatic music recitals and a veena performance by Class VII student Aditi Nair brought the audience to its feet.
- Evening 2 – Western & Fusion Night: The school rock band "Resonance" delivered an electrifying set. Western classical piano, contemporary dance, and a spectacular fusion of Bharatanatyam and hip-hop by the senior girls' group were highlights.
- Evening 3 – Drama & Grand Finale: A moving theatrical production of "Ramayana Revisited" was staged to standing ovations. The evening concluded with the Prize Distribution and Principal's address.
"Outstanding and deeply moving. The talent these students have — and the way their school has nurtured it — is remarkable." — Smt. Gopika Varma, Chief Guest and Classical Dancer
Fine Arts Exhibition
Running parallel to the performances, the Annual Fine Arts Exhibition displayed over 200 works by students from Classes I–XII in painting, sculpture, digital art, and photography. The exhibition drew praise from visiting artists and educators for its exceptional quality and variety.
